ninemsn first-to-market with rich media ad format: the Slider

In another Australian media first, ninemsn today launched a new high-impact ad format, the Slider . The IAB Rising Stars award-winning format is a high-visibility ad unit that gives advertisers a multi-media story-telling opportunity.

With a homepage medium rectangle placement, the Slider features a consumer call to action, which, once clicked, ‘slides’ the browser to the right, revealing a full-page execution with rich media functionality. The experience remains open until the user elects to close the page, at which point they are returned to the homepage.

The Slider also features a secondary call to action anchored at the bottom of the homepage. The leave behind creative at the base of the homepage browser along with the medium rectangle provides a strong brand presence before the Slider has been activated.

Already embraced internationally by entertainment advertisers, the Slider offers a dynamic solution ideal for other verticals such as automotive and technology.
