Monday, 24 October 2011: ninemsn has unveiled the official Celebrity Apprentice Australia website ahead of the anticipated series debut on Channel Nine tonight.
The dedicated site features a constantly updated video blog, detailed profiles of the celebrity contestants, as well as photo galleries and exclusive videos. Extended exit interviews with the celebrities as they are fired from the contest will also appear exclusively on the site.
Extended sneak peek videos teasing each night’s show will also appear on the site and be embedded in the Celeb Apprentice Facebook page ahead of each daily episode.
Ben Watts, Head of Entertainment at ninemsn says: “The new site will take viewers behind the scenes of what we know will be a show jam-packed full of drama, tears and belly laughs. We’ve worked closely with the Apprentice producers to develop some really great digital content that will give the audience that extra fix of the show as the series unfolds.”
The first series of The Celebrity Apprentice Australia is modelled on the hugely popular US series and will see 12 celebrities, including politician Pauline Hanson; footy champion, Wendell Sailor; and beauty queen Jesinta Campbell, battle it out in the boardroom to win $100,000 for their chosen charity.
The celebrities will be subjected to long hours, gruelling mental challenges, and intense scrutiny as they try to prove their worth. Each week the board members - Mark Bouris and Brad Seymour from Yellow Brick Road and Deborah Thomas, ACP Magazines Director of Media, Public Affairs and Brand Development – will judge their performance, firing a celebrity apprentice each week until one wins the title.
Each episode will be uploaded to the site and be available to view for free for four weeks after it has aired on Channel 9, giving fans the opportunity to re-watch or catch up on episodes.
The Celebrity Apprentice Australia will premiere on Monday 24 October at 7.00PM on Channel Nine. For a first look and ongoing behind the scenes content visit ninemsn.com.au/celebrityapprentice
