Sydney, Australia, February 7th, 2011: ninemsn today announced that Dean Capobianco has been promoted into the role of Commercial Director. Dean’s remit will cover all of the commercial areas of display sales including brand, performance media, strategic partners, video, mobile and Nine Entertainment Co.’s Powered integrated offering.

Capobianco has worked at ninemsn since 2006, where he began as General Manager of Platform Nine. He has held positions as Director of Mobile & Operations and, up until this promotion, was Commercial Director of Performance Media, Strategic Partners, New Zealand, HWW and Mobile. Prior to working at ninemsn, Dean was Sales Director, Yahoo! Search Marketing ANZ and prior to that National Group Sales Manager at News Digital Media.

Dean’s remit will span display commercialisation- including brand, video, mobile, audience targeting and performance - and he will also oversee the launch of ad exchanges in the coming months.

ninemsn has also announced the resignation of Nicholas Gray, National Sales Director, who has decided to take the next step in his career.

Pollard said: “Nicholas has been a valuable executive at ninemsn and has made significant contributions to our business over the last four years. We thank him for this and wish him well with his future career.”
