SPECS DOWNLOAD FORM & TIPS
The Pushdown is a a 970 x 40 fixed rich media ad unit that upon user interaction, either via click or mouse over, pushes the site content down to reveal a 970 x 300 panel. The ad unit will auto expand once per user per campaign and allows for a rich media video to be run within the expanded panel.

Important Informationa. Automatic expansion of pushdown is capped at one (1) per campaign lifetime
b. All subsequent expansion of this ad unit MUST be user initiated either via rollover or click to expand.
Functionalitya. Build: The ad unit must be built to the technical specifications of the 3rd party vendor (list of supported vendors in table above). Please contact the vendor for more details on these specifications.
b. Expansion: The pushdown must:
  • Expand either via click intiation or mouse over for at least 2 seconds.
  • The ad unit must pushdown the page content, not appear over it.
  • Expand and close using fluid animation.
  • Remain in its expanded state until the user clicks the close button.
c. Close Button: The close button must:
  • Be located in the top right hand corner of the expanded panel.
  • Be present for the entire duration of the ad
  • Contract the expanded panel in a smooth manner.
  • Must display the word Close and X symbol.
  • Be at least 50 x 20 pixels and be designed to stand out.
d. Video: Additional video/sound content can be downloaded on click initiation (10 mb limit). Please include a clear call to action indicating that the user will be downloading a larger file.
e. Sound: Sound must be user initiated and is off by default. Audio can only be used when the ad unit is in an expanded state and must have a mute/sound on/off button.
Frequency Cappinga. Automatic expansion of the pushdown must have a frequency cap of 1 per user over whole flight.
b. Every other expansion must be user initiated either via click action or mouse over (for more than 2 seconds).

Note: All frequency cap settings must be implemented by the 3rd party (except for the eyewonder tags).
Design and Performancea. Content: To protect our brand please ensure:
  • All images and content are appropriate to the general audience nature of the site.
  • The ad does not try to launch parts of the ad in a new browser window or shake the browser window.
b. Performance: Please try to minimise the CPU load of any Ad Units submitted and bear in mind that there will be other flash elements on the page slowing down the users machine. Any ads that cause excessive CPU load and damages user experience once tested on the page will not be accepted.

Note: All ad executions are subject to approval and ninemsn reserves the right to request changes to content and/or execution for brand equity/user experience reasons. If you are unsure about a concept that you are working on please submit it to your sales rep for feedback.
Timelines and Deliverya. All 3rd party creative should be delivered to Ninemsn via 3rd party ad serving tags.
b. Ninemsn recommends submitting creative concepts (storyboards) 3 - 4 weeks before campaign, in order to allow feedback from ninemsn and amendments.
c. All material must be delivered at least five (5) working days prior to campaign launch to ensure technical compatibility and internal concept approval.

Note: If creative is late an estimated % of impressions equivalent to the prorated daily inventory level will be cancelled from the total impressions booked.
