The Network Billboard (exc Network Home) is a 970x250 non-expanding Rich Media ad unit that sits directly underneath the site navigation. The unit also contains a Nine Digital Network hosted close ad functionality which gives the user the option to remove the ad after they have seen it and enforce a frequency cap on the ad for the remainder of the day. It also runs with a non-expanding 300x250 leave behind.

a. All concepts/storyboards must be submitted 10 working days before the campaign to ensure that the concept complies with the Nine Digital brand/design specifications.
b. Animation in the initial 970x250 Billboard should be less than 15 seconds with no looping allowed. Any additional animation in the Billboard area must be click initiated. Functionalitya. Build -The Billboard must be built to the technical specifications of the 3rd party (list of supported vendors in table above). Please contact the vendor for more detail on these specifications.
b. Sound -All audio should be off by default, but can be used for the duration of the Billboard provided it is user initiated and has a visible mute/unmute button. Animation replays can start with sound on.
c. Video -Additional video/sound content can be downloaded on click initiation (see above for file size limits). Please include a clear call to action indicating that the user will be 'downloading a larger file'.
d. Layering - Please ensure the creative and/or tags sent to Nine Digital have all elements of the creative rendering with a maximum z-index of 3
Design and Performancea. Content: To protect our brand equity please ensure:

  • All images and content of the Ad Unit are appropriate to the general audience nature of the page.
  • The ad unit does not alter the Nine Digital brand, or alters the site page layout, navigation, design or content (including rearranging, destroying, pulling down or ripping apart).
  • The ad does not try to launch an ad in a new browser window(pop up/pop under) or shake the browser window.
b. Performance: Please try to minimise the CPU load of any Ad Units submitted and bear in mind that there will be other flash elements on the page slowing down the user's machine. Any ads that cause excessive CPU load and damages user experience once tested on the page will not be accepted.

Note: All ad executions are subject to approval and nine reserves the right to request changes to content and/or execution for brand equity/user experience reasons. If you are unsure about a concept that you are working on please submit it to your sales rep for feedback.
Timelines & Deliverya. All 3rd party creative should be delivered to Nine Digital via 3rd party ad serving tags.
b. Creative Elements (eg.flash files) to be sent along with the Tags so we can check these are to spec (excluded for Media Mind tags as we have access to the Media Mind user interface)
c. All material must be delivered at least five (5) working days prior to campaign launch to ensure technical compatibility and internal concept approval

Note: If creative is late an estimated % of impressions equivalent to the prorated daily inventory level will be cancelled from the total impressions booked.
