The Filmstrip ad is a Rich media ad unit that has five different "slides", showing creative story-telling capabilities all in a single ad creative, aligning the five segments of the Filmstrip to the five stages of the purchase funnel (awareness, interest, desire, intent, and loyalty).

The filmstrip is only available on network home and all ninemsn sites that support the 300x600 ad unit. Please contact Sales for more information on sites available.
The filmstrip is must be 3rd party ad served by Mediamind. MediaMind have a template built for the format which can be downloaded in the resource links below.
The filmstrip must be built to the technical specifications of MediaMind. Please contact the vendor for more detail on these specifications or any build specific questions
The first interactive panel of the Filmstrip is loaded on initial visit. The user can interact or view the panel as any normal 300x600 interactive placement. The user can then move between the panels in the following ways:
Direct Interaction (ON Click) - There are predefined areas at the top and bottom of the panels that allow the user to click to move to the next panel (it is recommended that there be a clear call to action message to the user in these spaces).
Scroll (ON Mouse or Browser Scroll) - As the user scrolls down the web page the Filmstrip will automatically move to the next panel of the creative. To ensure a clean understandable user interaction, the Filmstrip only scrolls one panel per page.
Sequencing (Repeat Visits) - If the user has interacted with the ad and moved to a specific panel (such as panel #2), any return visits to the site would auto-scroll the filmstrip to the next sequential frame (panel #3 in this example).
The unit cannot expand outside the 300x600 area.
All audio should be off by default, but can be used for the duration of the filmstrip provided it is user initiated and has a visible mute/unmute button.
Additional video/sound content can be downloaded on click initiation (see above for file size limits). Please include a clear call to action indicating that the user will be downloading a larger file.
Design and Performance
- To protect our brand please ensure that the ad does not try to launch parts of the ad in a new browser window(pop up/pop under) or shake the browser window.
Please try to minimise the CPU load of any Ad Units submitted. Any ads that cause excessive CPU load and damages user experience once tested on the page will not be accepted.
All ad executions are subject to approval and ninemsn reserves the right to request changes to content and/or execution for brand equity/user experience reasons. If you are unsure about a concept that you are working on please submit it to your sales rep for feedback.
