Important Informationa. The Expanded Panel can only expand on click.
b. Default unit should clearly state that the expanding panel will expand or extend upon user action.
c. . The 300x250 default ad unit MUST clearly state that the expanding panel will expand upon a users CLICK action.
Functionalitya. Build: The ad unit must be built to the technical specifications of the 3rd party vendor (list of supported vendors in table above). Please contact the vendor for more details on these specifications.
b. Sound: Sound must be off by default on ad unit expansion. Sound must stop on roll-off/close and must have a visible mute/unmute button.
c. Video: Additional video/sound content can be downloaded on click initiation (10 mb limit). Please include a clear call to action indicating that the user will be downloading a larger file.
d. Close Button: Only applicable for click initiated expanding panels. Close button must:
  • Be present and located on the top right hand corner of the expanded panel.
  • Must display the word Close and an X symbol.
  • Must be designed to stand out from the ad and page background.
  • The close button hit state needs to be the same dimensions as the button itself (40 x 10 pixels).
Design and Performancea. Content: To protect our brand please ensure:
  • All images and content are appropriate to the general audience nature of the homepage.
  • The ad does not try to launch parts of the ad in a new browser window (pop up/pop under) or shake the browser window.
b. Performance: Please try to minimise the CPU load of any Ad Units submitted and bear in mind that there will be other flash elements on the page slowing down the users machine. Any ads that cause excessive CPU load and damages user experience once tested on the page will not be accepted.

Note: All ad executions are subject to approval and ninemsn reserves the right to request changes to content and/or execution for brand equity/user experience reasons. If you are unsure about a concept that you are working on please submit it to your sales rep for feedback.
Timelines and Deliverya. All 3rd party creative should be delivered to Ninemsn via 3rd party ad serving tags.
b. Creative Elements (eg.flash files) to be sent along with the tags so we can check these are to spec
c. The Expanding Panel must launch from an existing ad property.
d. All material must be delivered at least five (5) working days prior to campaign launch to ensure technical compatibility and internal concept approval.

Note: If creative is late an estimated % of impressions equivalent to the prorated daily inventory level will be cancelled from the total impressions booked.
