Important Information
a.
We recommend that all concepts/storyboards are submitted 3-4 wks before the campaign to ensure that the concept complies with the Ninemsn brand/design specifications.
b.
This ad unit can only be 3rd party served via MediaMind, please find the applicable specs above.
Functionality
a. Expansion:
On first load, the bull bar should be in its fully expanded state with no animation
The bull bar will stay in its expanded state until the user clicks the close button
The 3rd time a user visits the homepage, it will initiate on rollover after a timed countdown of 2 seconds
If the user mouses over the strip a timed countdown will appear and once complete will expand using fluid animation. For the bull bar to contract, the user will need to click the close button
Ad Pushes content down (not over the page)
Please ensure the last frame has the call to action and not left blank
b. Close Button:
Close button must be present for entire duration of the ad in the top right hand corner and should shut down the relevant ad part. When the user clicks the close button, the action must be fluid
Close button must be as per ninemsn flash template. If it is altered, the creative will be rejected. It must display the word Close and an X symbol that has been designed to stand out from the ad and page background (min 40px by 10px)
c. Video:
10mb is the total video file size (including the initial 1mb). Additional file size must be click initiated
A clear call to action indicating that the user will be 'downloading a larger file' must be present on the creative)
Additional video/sound content can be downloaded on click initiation (see above for file size limits). Please include a clear call to action indicating that the user will be 'downloading a larger file
c. Sound:
Sound is off by default
Audio may be used, but only while the bull bar is in an expanded state. This has to be user initiated with a mute/sound on/off button
Design and Performance
a. Content:
To protect our brand equity please ensure:
All images and content of the Ad Unit are appropriate to the general audience nature of the page.
The ad unit does not alter the ninemsn brand, or alters the site page layout, navigation, design or content (including rearranging, destroying, pulling down or ripping apart).
The ad does not try to launch an ad in a new browser window(pop up/pop under) or shake the browser window.
b. Performance:
Please try to minimise the CPU load of any Ad Units submitted and bear in mind that there will be other flash elements on the page slowing down the user's machine. Any ads that cause excessive CPU load and damages user experience once tested on the page will not be accepted.
Note:
All ad executions are subject to approval and ninemsn reserves the right to request changes to content and/or execution for brand equity/user experience reasons. If you are unsure about a concept that you are working on please submit it to your sales rep for feedback.
