Ad Specs
The Slider ad unit is a 300x250 ad with a floating 950x90 Slider Bar anchored at the bottom of the browser and upon click Slider Content appears on the right side of the page, scrolling the browser to the right. The Slider experience stays open until the user selects to close it.

Important Informationa. Automatic expansion of the Slider Bar must have a frequency cap of 1 per user per day.
b. Every other expansion must be user initiated via click action on the MREC.
Note: All frequency cap settings must be implemented by the 3rd party
Functionalitya. Build: The Slider Bar must be built to the technical specifications of the 3rd party (list of supported vendors in table above). Please contact the vendor for more detail on these specifications.
b. Sound: All audio should be off by default. Audio can only be used when the ad unit is in an expanded state and must have a mute/sound on/off button.
c. Video: Additional video/sound content can be downloaded on click initiation (see above for file size limits). Please include a clear call to action indicating that the user will be 'downloading a larger file'.
d. Close Button: A close button must be present on the Slider Bar and the expanded panel in the top right hand corner. It must display the word Close and an X symbol that has been designed to stand out from the ad and page background (min 40px by 10px).
e. Speed: Please ensure that the ad build is setup to slide on click as quickly and smoothly as possible.
Design and Performancea. Content: To protect our brand please ensure:
  • All images and content are appropriate to the general audience nature of the site.
  • The ad does not try to launch parts of the ad in a new browser window or shake the browser window.
b. Performance: Please try to minimise the CPU load of any Ad Units submitted and bear in mind that there will be other flash elements on the page slowing down the users machine. Any ads that cause excessive CPU load and damages user experience once tested on the page will not be accepted.

Note: All ad executions are subject to approval and ninemsn reserves the right to request changes to content and/or execution for brand equity/user experience reasons. If you are unsure about a concept that you are working on please submit it to your sales rep for feedback.
Timelines and Deliverya. Ninemsn recommends submitting creative concepts (storyboards) 3 - 4 weeks before campaign, in order to allow feedback from ninemsn and amendments.
b. All material must be delivered at least five (5) working days prior to campaign launch to ensure technical compatibility and internal concept approval.

Note: If creative is late an estimated % of impressions equivalent to the prorated daily inventory level will be cancelled from the total impressions booked.
