Important Information
a.
We recommend that all concepts/storyboards are submitted 3-4 wks before the campaign to ensure that the concept complies with the Ninemsn brand/design specifications.
Functionality
a. Build:
The Centrefold Ad Unit must be built to the technical specifications of MediaMind. Please contact the vendor for more detail on these specifications or any build specific questions
b. Sound:
All audio should be off by default, but can be used for the duration of the filmstrip provided it is user initiated and has a visible mute/unmute button
c. Video:
Additional video/sound content can be downloaded on click initiation (see above for file size limits). Please include a clear call to action indicating that the user will be downloading a larger file
d. Close button:
A close button must be present in the expanded panel in the top right hand corner. It must display the word Close and an X symbol that has been designed to stand out from the ad and page background (min 40px by 10px)
e. Expansion:
The ad should be built as Click to Expand or Rollover expand and click to close functionality. If the ad is rollover initiated, please ensure there is a 3 second time delay with clear countdown messaging (3...2...1...). If the ad is appearing on the Ninemsn homepage, it must be click to expand only
f. Mediamind:
The catalogue ad format should utilise MediaMind's 'dimmer' functionality to ensure that the page content being dimmed on expansion. Please contact MediaMind for additional details and to apply the relevant custom script
Design and Performance
a.
Content
- To protect our brand please ensure that the ad does not try to launch parts of the ad in a new browser window(pop up/pop under) or shake the browser window.
b.
Performance
Please try to minimise the CPU load of any Ad Units submitted. Any ads that cause excessive CPU load and damages user experience once tested on the page will not be accepted.
Note:
All ad executions are subject to approval and ninemsn reserves the right to request changes to content and/or execution for brand equity/user experience reasons. If you are unsure about a concept that you are working on please submit it to your sales rep for feedback.
Timelines & Delivery
a. One tag must be supplied from the 3rd party vendor for the 300x250 (two tags provided if also serving the 728x90)
b. All material must be delivered at least five (10) working days prior to campaign launch to ensure technical compatibility and internal concept approval
Note:
If creative is late an estimated % of impressions equivalent to the prorated daily inventory level will be cancelled from the total impressions booked.
