Mark BrittChief executive officer

Mark Britt is the CEO of Mi9, driving Nine Entertainment Co.'s digital strategy and overseeing the Mi9 group of companies which include the ninemsn network, the Daily Mail Australia, Nine's TV app Jump-in and upcoming Subscription Video On Demand business. Mi9 also represents Microsoft's digital products in the Australian and NZ markets, selling ads across: Skype, Xbox, Bing and Outlook.com.

Since taking on the CEO role in 2011 - at what was then known as "ninemsn" - Mark quickly spearheaded the expansion of the business to incorporate a range of new investments and advertising technologies. He then drove the corporate rebrand of Mi9 with its supporting purpose "to create the future of media" and imagination + intelligence underpinning everything Mi9 does.

Mark has a wealth of executive and commercial experience in online, advertising and consumer technology fields and the Australian, European and Asia-Pacific markets. He's an established leader with an impressive track record in identifying breakthrough business opportunities, executing high profile joint ventures and pioneering transformational partnerships in digital.

Mark is a true believer in the opportunity for data and technology to create amazing new content experiences, and deliver effective advertising results for clients and users.

Marc BarnettChief Operating Officer

Marc Barnett is responsible for driving Mi9's overall commercial and trading strategy, pricing, yield, ad product roadmap and commercial partnerships. He oversees the New Zealand Mi9 operation, as well as the HWW business, Bing Ads business and Microsoft Advertising Exchange. He is responsible for driving the strategic direction of programmatic trading, performance media and third party networks. Marc's team also drives integration with Mi9's network partners and manages the Microsoft, Daily Mail and Bauer strategic relationships. Marc is also a Director of Rate City, a JV between Mi9 and Canstar.

Marc re-joined Mi9 in December 2011, after spending time with Microsoft Advertising in Singapore. As the Director of Specialist Sales for Asia Pacific, he was responsible for driving advertising revenue for Microsoft's full suite of online advertising products across the region.

Previously, Marc spent four years with ninemsn in a variety of commercial roles, mostly recently as the Director of Commercial Operations and Performance Media. In this role, he was responsible for launching and managing MSDR, the Performance Media business and managing the display Ad Operations team.

Marc lives in Sydney with his wife Ela.

Kelly Ferguson, Chief Information OfficerKelly Ferguson, Chief Information Officer

Kelly leads Mi9's technical, design and data capabilities. Her team is responsible for all product development, technology, creative and build functions and works closely alongside the editorial and commercial teams to run the ninemsn network and Mi9's suite of digital properties.

Kelly has been with Mi9 since 2011. Prior to that she was the Support Services Group Manager for the Healthcare division of Philips Electronics Ltd. From 2000 until 2008, Kelly held a variety of senior roles at Microsoft in the United States and Australia. Kelly has a passion for IT and leadership, and has worked in Asia Pacific, Europe, Africa and the Americas. She lives in Sydney's northern beaches with her husband and two children.

Hal Crawford, Editor in Chief & PublisherCommercial director

Hal Crawford oversees ninemsn's Editorial division, encompassing all 60+ content sites across the web portal and as Publisher is responsible for all product approvals.

Hal has been at the forefront of digital news and content creation in Australia since he joined ninemsn in 2006 as news editor. In 2010 he was appointed Head of News and in 2011 he became Editor in Chief.

Hal believes the audience knows best and his team is driving the ninemsn strategy to "put users at the heart of the story". Deep insight into user preferences and behaviours are dictating how ninemsn creates and curates content.

He began his journalism career at The West Australian newspaper, working as a general, police and political reporter before specialising in technology journalism. After leaving The West he travelled and wrote as a freelancer for magazines, newspapers and websites. Hal lived in The Netherlands for three years, working for Radio Netherlands before returning to teach journalism at La Trobe University in Melbourne. He now lives in Sydney with his wife and three daughters.

Emma-Jayne Owens, National Sales Director, Mi9 MediaEmma-Jayne Owens, National Sales Director, Mi9 Media

As National Sales Director Emma-Jayne leads Mi9's integrated national sales force. Working alongside the state directors, she ensures Mi9 is delivering solutions consistently across the whole of Australia, and continues to be considered the digital partner of choice by our agencies and clients.

Before joining Mi9 and the digital industry Emma-Jayne spent 15 years with Austereo where she headed up Agency Sales.

Rebecca Haagsma, Director of TVDirector of TV

Rebecca Haagsma's role sees her work closely with Nine Entertainment Co. to ensure Channel 9 and Mi9 are bringing TV stories to digital platforms. She has particular focus on Jump-in - Nine's catch-up, second screen and web platform.

Before being appointed to her current role, Rebecca was Director of Product Innovation, responsible for publishing an exciting, challenging and innovative roadmap of products across the ninemsn network and across devices. Prior to that she spent two years as Head of Lifestyle and Mobile Audience for ninemsn, overseeing the ACP masthead digital properties along with ninemsn food, health and beauty products, as well as running the tablet and smartphone audience strategies and implementations.

Prior to joining ninemsn, her previous roles included: Digital Director at ACP Magazines, Project Director of the global online directory Hotfrog, Group Publisher print and digital of the marketing and media titles (including B&T) at Reed Business Information, and Publishing Manager for the Historic Houses of Trust of NSW.

Steve Geelan, Director of Commercial PartnershipsSteve Geelan, Director of Commercial Partnerships

As Director of Commercial Partnerships, Steve drives the integration with Mi9's network partners and manages the Microsoft strategic relationship.

Steve has over fifteen year's media sales experience in the UK and Australia, across the out of home and online sectors.

Prior to taking on his current role at Mi9, Steve was the General Manager for Australia and New Zealand at Valued Interactive Media; a key behavioural and data partner in the online space for a number of mainstream clients.

Steve's out of home media sales experience has included senior roles at each Adshel and EYE Corp, affording him valuable media owner side experience across the commercial, sales, marketing, product development and operations business functions.
